The 2008 Miss Moses Lake Roundup Queen is Kylie Anne Kooistra.
On March 15, 2008, Miss Kylie Anne Kooistra was crowned the 2008 Miss Moses Lake Roundup and continued a family tradition of the 3rd daughter in her family to be Miss Moses Lake Roundup. Born and raised in the heart of the Columbia Basin, Kylie is proud to call the small agricultural community of Quincy her home. Kylie is the 20 year old daughter of Marvin and Shannon Kooistra. She also has two older sisters and one older brother. Kylie graduated from Quincy High School in 2006 with high honors while being an active athlete and holding office in the FFA. She now attends Eastern Washington University where she plans to obtain a minor degree and has yet to decide on a bachelor’s degree. Growing up, Kylie participated in 4-H competing with her horses in both performance and western games. Last year, Kylie and her trusty 9 year old gelding “Shaw”, enjoyed their experience as Miss Rodeo Othello 2007. Kylie has grown up riding horses and enjoys sharing her love for the western way of life with others. Kylie looks forward to representing the Moses Lake Roundup and the Columbia Basin Rodeo Association as she travels around the state of Washington this year.
